The context

An online store with a customer-facing storefront and a separate admin dashboard for running it.

My role

Developed the storefront: product browsing, search, shopping cart, discount codes and checkout flows.

Built the admin dashboard for product, order and discount-code management on REST APIs and MongoDB.

Improved loading with code splitting, lazy loading and image optimisation.

Implementation

Zustand for state management and Tailwind CSS for responsive layouts.

Express.js REST API with MongoDB.

Outcome & learnings

Reached a 98/100 Lighthouse performance score.
